“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had… And dealing with fears, you didn’t know existed.” -Linda Wooten I had the honor of taking part in the most amazing thing on Earth! The miracle of giving birth! It was the first one I had ever photographed. It was long, it was an emotional rollercoaster, yet I had witnessed love, strength, hope, and devotion all together. After 41 weeks of pregnancy, 20 something long hours of ‘exciting’ contractions and pain, Amelie Marie finally made an appearance in her mother’s arms. I drove home in the middle of the night, and I cried with happiness. I was so thrilled for those three generations of women in the labour ward and I was so thankful to be a witness to the perfect birth. That night will be with me for the rest of my life! Here is the birth story written by Aly (Allmumstalk)
